N'golo Kante was born in Paris on the 29th of march (1991). He began his career at the age of 8 at Js Suresnes in the western suburbs of the city and remained there for a decade.
His assistant manager, Pierce Ville, once stated that Kante remained outside the radar of big teams because of his small stature and selfless style of play.
Through the connection of Suresnes president in 2010, Kante joined the last game of the Ligue 2 season on the 18th of may 2012, a 1-2 home defeat to Monaco for his already relegated team.
In 2013, he joined Ligue 2 side Caen and played all 38 games in his first season as they came 3rd in the tier, earning them a promotion to Ligue 1.
Kante was scouted for Leicester city by Steve Walsh, who also facilitated the transfers for Jamie vardy and Riyard Mahrez to the team. He joined Leicester on a four year contract for an undisclosed fee reported to be €8million (£5.6 million). He scored his first premier league goal in a 2-1 home win against Watford. He is renowned for his consistent style of play and tackles and interceptions. He was one of the four Leicester players named in the PFA team of the year in the 2015-2016 season. He had managed 175 tackles (31more than any other player), topping the defensive stats at the end of the 2015-16 premier League season.
On 16th July 2016, Kante signed for Chelsea for a reported fee of £32 million. After signing a 5-year contract with the club, Kante said "I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe." He was given the number 7 jersey which had been left vacant since the departure of Ramirez in January. He was one of the only outfield Chelsea players to have played every minute of Chelsea's first 10 premier league matches of the season.
On the 13th of march 2017, Kante was named man of the match and scored the only goal in the 51st minute in an FA cup quarter final win over Manchester united at Stamford Bridge.
On 20th April 2017, Kante was named in the PFA team of the year for the PFA player of the year and FWA player of the year. He became the first outfield player since Eric Cantona to win back to back top flight titles in England with two different clubs.
Personal life
Kante's parents migrated to France from Mali in 1980 and he grew up in a small flat in Rueil-malmaison, hauts- de- seine.
As of 2017, his younger sister was in the youth system at Suresnes where he started is career. At the start of his professional career at Boulogne, he commuted to training by kick scooter, and as of 2017 he drove a mini cooper, which according to BBC sports writer, Paul Fletcher shows he his "uninterested in displaying his wealth".
