The lifestyle of a Lion
A lot of people only discuss Messi's life in relation to soccer: winning trophies, scoring goals, winning awards and all. Many don't know about his charitable side and life out of the pitch.
Leo, off the pitch, is a humble father of 2 sons: Thiago and Matteo, and he's deeply in love with their mother, Antonella Roccuzzo. The soon-to-be married couple have known each other from childhood, since they were 5years of age. The two of them, who recently announced that they will be getting married in June, grew up in the same area and only started dating later on in their lives.
Another interesting thing about Leo that I really love is is his private love life. He kept his romance a secret for almost a year. Focusing on his career as a footballer, Messi allows his family to control most of his business affairs off the pitch. His father is also his agent. His brother is acting as a PR manager. His mother takes care of his charity endeavours. This makes everyone in the family comfortable and independent.
Surprisingly, Leo loves trying out new dishes. He is a regular patron of many eateries in Barcelona. His food choice is just as beautiful as his style of play.
He is said to be a close family man by his relations. He undertook a 3 hour journey just to eat with his family, and returned immediately for a training session.
His favourite car is Maserati. He owns an Audi, a Ferrari and also a Dodge Charger.
Leo gives back to the society. His foundation helped build 20 classrooms for schools in Syria which has helped over 1,600 children who are trapped in the horrible civil war to access education. The foundation also supports Argentine children diagnosed with medical conditions by paying their bills. He stated in an interview: "Being a bit famous now gives me the opportunity to help people who really need it, especially children".
Leo's priceless quotes:
" I prefer to win titles with the team before individual prizes or outscoring everyone. I'm more concerned with being a good person than being the best footballer in the world".
"A child's smile is worth more than all the money. I try to make them happy even if it's by signing an autograph".
That's what makes Messi great!!!
Messi the great!!!
Making the children smile is he's priority such a great man.
