Mo' salah; The Merseyside miracle



Liverpool signed Salah from Italian club AS Roma for a fee in the region of £35 million. This could be tagged the bargain of their life considering the inflation if the transfer market following the sales of Brazilian star Neymar and the French youngster Dembele. Any team wishing to pitch Mo' Salah away from the Merseyside Reds should be considering a fee in the excess of £70 million.

Mohamed Salah has recorded 36 goals for in 41 games for Liverpool this season and he tops the European golden shoe race. Currently the top goal scorer in the premier league with 28 goals, 4 ahead of the major threat, Harry Kane who is out for months with a leg injury. It is but a wonder for a winger, in his debut, season to bag such heroics. This is an unprecedented landmark.

His explosive pace and enviable link up play is what distinguishes Mo Salah on the field of play. His ability to make darting runs behind the defence and exploit defensive weakness of teams, and his superb accuracy to put the ball behind the net in very tight spaces is his wild card.

He is also the Jurgen Klopp kind of player as his teamwork capabilities allow him to link up very well with his teammates Roberto Firmimo and Sadio Mane and former teammate Phillipe Coutinho. Watching Salah under Klopp is a reminder of Henrikh Mhikitaryan under at Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp. His link up play with current arsenal teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and German sensation Marco Reus was superb, allowing him to rake a significant number of goals and assists.

The heroics of Mohamed Salah this season, puts a smile on Liverpool fans after every match week. A continuation of this fine form by the Egyptian and a replacements of the now Barcelona star, Coutinho could make Liverpool major title contenders in the league in the coming season.
